The Yellow Scarf

This portrait was damaged in transit when the owner relocated from overseas, resulting in extensive cracking of the paint. The restoration process involved applying a penetrating wax through the back of the canvas to the paint layer then repainting chipped or flaked paint.

Aboriginal artwork

As you can see, this painting was extensively damaged. In order to restore the torn surface a large canvas patch was applied to the back using wax. The tear was filled and repainted. The repair is completely undetectable to the viewer.

Holy Mother & Child

This antique painting was showing the effects of its age, and  had become discoloured through the yellowing of the varnish and an accumulation of surface grime. The painting is now in pristine condition due to the careful restoration involving a restorers solvent cleaning process and retouch.
